An important element of all smart houses and modern IoT devices is the ability to control via a mobile application. The used software product is technologically outdated: it was not possible to promptly notify users about certain events, the user interface should be modernized. There was a need to reengineer the solution and create a new mobile application NV Home for smart home management. TAD Development was invited to develop the new product.
Based on the available expertise in the area of smart home solutions and analysis of trends in the development of the IoT market for the next 5 years, analysts from the IT company TAD Development have carefully studied the needs of NAVIgard and proposed a fundamentally new framework for developing Ionic hybrid applications as a technological platform. This technology allows you to use the same code for Android, iOS and web clients. Due to the use of asynchronous interactions, users can see the current state of objects in the mobile app at any time and without extra data updates.
The IT solution development took place using the Scrum methodology. “Navigator” saw intermediate results after each iteration, so the company could make any adjustments on the spot and the project itself was completed without long and expensive improvements.
The updated NV Home mobile app allows to control your smart home from anywhere in the world: to control gates, locks, lighting, heating, electrical appliances and others. Users can check the objects at any time, remotely turn the alarm system on and off or arm only certain zones and so on.
Various sensors can be installed in NV Home. As soon as the devices are triggered, the owners receive appropriate push notifications and find out about the attempted hacking, smoke, flooding, and more.
Flexible smart home devices control: users can turn on the sensors only for a certain time, after which the device will automatically turn off.
The app lets several users control smart home - all information about the sensors is synchronized automatically. Users can view each other's actions: which family member changed the section status, turned on or off the alarm, etc.
The mobile app has passed moderation and is already available in the App Store and Google Play.
