Voice warehouse management based on WMS Manhattan SCALE

Background

In recent years, the Russian market has seen a growing demand for Pick-by-Voice systems, which are used to manage warehouse operations using voice terminals.

In this regard, KORUS Consulting has launched a project to create a solution for voice control of a warehouse based on the Manhattan SCALE WMS system, localized for the Russian market.

The new product was to support the extensive system customization traditional for Manhattan products, with the best practices of Pick-by-Voice systems.

Project description

The product development project was carried out in two phases. At the first stage, the solution architecture was designed and agreed upon with the client-side supplier, and then a product prototype was developed. At the second stage, functional design and development of business processes were carried out, a release cycle was established according to the SCRUM methodology. For regression testing of each version of the application, a set of autotests was developed that cover a significant part of the business functionality.

Result

First integration of Lydia and Manhattan products in the global market.

The transfer of competencies for the product was carried out in the process of acceptance testing by the customer's specialists, after which they performed the first implementation of KC.Voice with minimal involvement of the product team.

The KC.Voice solution was implemented and operated at the warehouses of STD Petrovich.

There are several projects to implement KC.Voice with other KORUS Consulting customers.
